Teen, 18, slain near his South Side homeA teen was fatally shot Sunday afternoon near his home in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side, officials said.
Marcel Mays, 18, of the 6800 block of South Indiana Avenue was shot on that street about 4:55 p.m. and was pronounced dead about 5:15 p.m. at St. Bernard Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Nobody was in custody no further information was available in the case, police said.
